I’m interested in books so big and complex that they are rather unreadable, either formally or by way of sheer heft. These are books that are written not to be read, unlike, say Tolstoy’s War & Peace, which, in fact, was meant to be read. I’m more interested in browsing than reading: the book as object, thought piece or reference book.
